|
This Privacy Policy applies to the www.bendixrewards.com
Web site (the “Site”). The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you about
the practices of Honeywell Friction Materials (referred to as “Honeywell” or
“we”) regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information (information
that is about you or could be used to identify you, such as your name, address,
e-mail address, phone number) that you may provide through your access to or use
of the Site or through your participation in the Bendix Ultimate Rewards Program
(referred to as the “Program”).
LINKS TO OTHER WEB SITES
Please note: Honeywell has other Web sites that may adhere
to different privacy policies than the policy set forth below. If you visit other
Honeywell Web sites or link to a different site, we encourage you to review the
privacy policy that is posted on that site. This site contains links to other Web
sites. Honeywell is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of
such other Web sites.
CONSENT
Honeywell (itself or through an agent appointed to operate the
Program on our behalf) collects personal information about you when you voluntarily
provide it. Whenever you voluntarily provide information through your access to
or use of the Site or participation in the Program, you consent to the collection,
use and disclosure of that information in accordance with the provisions of this
Privacy Policy.
CHANGES
Honeywell reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at
any time and you are advised to review this page regularly for any changes. Your
continued use of this Site following the posting of any such change will mean you
accept those changes. You may review this Privacy Policy at any time by selecting
the Privacy Policy link. This Privacy Policy was last updated on January 1, 2009.
WHEN WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
In order to enable you to participate in the Program, we ask
you to submit an electronic enrolment application form which asks for your personal
contact information and for confirmation of your employment in accordance with the
Program Terms & Conditions. We also collect information that you submit to administer
your account under the Program and your participation in the Program, such as the
sales information you provide, the accumulation of your points under the Program
and information regarding your redemption of rewards under the Program (collectively
referred to as your “Account” or “Account information”). Your Account information
is maintained on a confidential basis accessible by a personal identification number
(p.i.n.) and a password assigned to your Account at the time of enrolment. In addition,
the Site may contain areas that collect information voluntarily provided by you
for purposes of surveys or other means used to understand your business needs, such
as questions, comments and suggestions. Some of the information that you provide
through such feedback data may be personal information.
COOKIES
Cookies are small data files that are sent to your browser and
stored on your computer’s hard-drive when you visit certain Web sites, thereby “tracking”
your use of the Site. This site currently does not use cookies.
USE OF INFORMATION
Honeywell uses your personal information in order to administer
your participation in the Program, to credit your Account, and to communicate with
you about your Account and the Program. If you checked the appropriate box on your
enrolment form, we may also send you information about products and services or
promotions that may be of interest to you. Honeywell gives you the opportunity to
“opt-in” to receiving such information. If you choose not to receive our promotional
materials or not to receive this additional information, it will not affect your
status or participation in the Program.
Honeywell may also use your personal information to create aggregated information
that does not allow you to be personally identified or contacted. Rather than showing
individual activity, aggregated information shows user behaviour as a whole (for
example, information might be compiled in order to calculate the number of Program
participants living in certain geographic areas). Aggregated information is used
to evaluate the use of our sites, for development of the Site and to assess the
operation of the Program. Honeywell may disclose aggregated information to its affiliates
and related companies and to agents appointed by it for purposes of administration
or operation of the Program.
WHEN WE DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Information about your Account is stored in confidential databases
and is not disclosed to third parties. Agents appointed by Honeywell to assist with
or operate the Program will have access to your Account Information for this purpose.
Such agents are required by Honeywell to comply with the provisions of this Privacy
Policy and are prohibited from disclosing personal and Account Information to third
parties except as required by law. Honeywell does not disclose, give, rent or sell
participant lists or other personal or Account information to any organization or
entity except to its agents as described above for purposes of administration of
the Program, agents or service providers used by Honeywell to administer marketing
programs that you have chosen to participate in through the opt-in process described
above, or as required by law.
PARTICIPANT ACCESS TO OR REMOVAL OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
If you wish to obtain electronic access to your Account information,
you may do so at any time by accessing the Statement page of the Web-site and providing
your PIN and password. Hard copies of Account statements are sent to Program participants
who have chosen not to participate electronically. If you wish to correct your Account
information, you may do so during regular business hours by contacting our agent
at 1-866-492-9113.
If you no longer wish to receive promotional mailings, other than Account updates,
respond as instructed on an e-mail you receive from us in the spot indicating you
